The use of an office colour copy machine was uncommon for fine art in the 1980s, challenging established norms of printmaking. By repurposing everyday technology, Hockney created a unique visual language that bridged the gap between conventional and contemporary art-making processes.

The work is part of a larger series investigating the potential of digital technology in art, aligning with Hockney's broader interest in combining modern techniques with classical artistic practices. This approach not only expanded the possibilities of printmaking but also anticipated the increasing role of digital technology in art production in subsequent decades.

Explore more David Hockney canvas print and discover additional artworks featuring landscapes, architecture and the artist’s distinctive visual style in our collection.

Enhanced texture and timeless beauty with our canvas print.
